Text Box: MONH KHAIRHAN & THE SOUTHERNERS

Not too much beta on this area, as I’ve yet to climb here. This is possibly Mongolia’s highest peak; the measurement on the old Soviet map reads 4362 verses 4366 for my measurement of Khuiten (Tavan Bogd).

The peaks can be reached from the village of Bulgan (10 hours south of Olgii) or from the neighboring province of Khovd.

There are at least four other peaks topping 4000 meters in the area.
